Story: Maya, a dementia patient, lives with her daughter Shraddha and has a caretaker, Mehul. Maya uses voice notes to remember all the important things in her life, including her daughter. The story revolves around a murder that takes place in the house, with all the proofs hinting towards Maya to be the killer. Maya denies it and tries proving herself to be innocent with her scattered memories. The police investigation is led by Inspector Rakesh Sharma, and there are a lot of mind-bending twists and turns that keep you hooked throughout the film. Be rest assured, you will be guessing all the time and your assumptions about the story will be proved wrong.

Review:
After the successful suspense thriller Hun Iqbal, writer-director Pallav Parikh is back with another brilliant mind-bending story. Kudos to the director and the editing team of the film for executing complex scenes from the point of view of a dementia patient smoothly enough to not confuse the audience. There are constant unpredictable twists and bewildering turns, and the music by Darshan Shah fills the unsettling scenes beautifully.

Coming to the performances, Sonaalee Lele Desai as Maya has delivered one of the finest performances of her career. Portraying a dementia patient and switching between emotions is an exceptional achievement for the actress. Known for his comic characters, Mitra Gadhvi as Mehul, the caretaker, is a true surprise package with one of the finest grey characters, and you don’t know what will come up next. Abhinay Banker as Inspector Rakesh Sharma is brilliant in his role, giving chills in scenes while interrogating the suspects. Nishma Soni brings freshness to the table with her innocence, delivering a mature performance and portraying complex emotions in a fine manner.

It has been a while since the Gujarati industry has seen this genre being explored in a successful manner. With its nail-biting situations and continuous twists, Bhram is a must-watch for people who love psychodramas filled with suspense.
