Young voices, many traditions: A poila baisakh celebration comes alive
The stage came alive with a dynamic mix of performances inspired by festivals from across the country. Around 65–70 students from the primary section (Classes I to III) took part, presenting an engaging blend of dance, music, recitation, and instrumental acts. Their performances reflected not just artistic talent, but also the joy, innocence, and enthusiasm that define the occasion.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the event also coincided with the unveiling of thematic Poila Baisakh décor, transforming the venue into a culturally rich and visually immersive space for visitors.
“It was wonderful to see the children perform with such sincerity and energy,” said Mahuya Chakraborty, Head of Performing Arts and Marketing. “Through ‘Baisakhi’, we wanted to create a space where learning meets celebration, allowing students to explore different cultural expressions while building confidence and joy.”
The celebration served as both a cultural introduction and a creative platform, encouraging young learners to engage with traditions in an inclusive, expressive environment—at South City International School, held at South City Mall.
