Vedanta Software bags top honour at Excellency Iconic Awards 2025

Vedanta Software, a digital technology firm based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India, was named ‘Software Company of the Year’ at the Excellency Iconic Awards 2025, held in Dehradun last week. The annual event celebrates contributions across industries, with this year’s edition placing a spotlight on innovation in media and technology.

The awards, organized by Three Fingers Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., brought together a wide spectrum of achievers from across the country. Among the dignitaries present were Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal and Lok Sabha MP Punam Chand, while actress Esha Deol joined the evening as a special guest.

The recognition for Vedanta Software comes amid increasing reliance on digital platforms by regional and national media houses. The company has developed tools designed to streamline the workflows of digital newsrooms—solutions that are now reportedly used by more than 500 news platforms across India.

At the core of its offerings are SaaS-based CMS (Content Management System) platforms built specifically for news portals and ePaper publishers. These tools aim to simplify content creation, manage feeds, and enable monetization through digital advertising—all essential components in today’s media ecosystem.

Founder Ankur Gupta, while receiving the award, credited the success to collaborative efforts within the organization and to the feedback from news professionals who use their platforms. “This honour reflects the trust placed in us by journalists and publishers working across India,” he said.

The award also highlights the increasing presence of emerging tech firms from tier-2 cities that are contributing significantly to India’s digital growth. With the rise of SaaS-based tools tailored for niche markets like regional journalism, companies like Vedanta Software are gaining relevance in sectors once dominated by larger players.
