“Both of us are alumni of National School of Drama and Yashpal Sharma never misses any chance to see a play. In fact, he has also acted in some of my plays and when he got to know that my play Chauri Chaura Sangram is being staged and since he happened to be in Varanasi he came for the show,” shared Ramji Bali.

While Yashpal Sharma says, “Varanasi is a familiar place for me, I have shot several films in the city like Gangs of Wasseypur and more recently Bunty Aur Babli 2, so have extensively explored the place. Whenever I am in town I go to

Kashi Vishwanath Temple

,

Kaal Bhairav Temple

and have visited the birthplace of great writer Munshi Premchand. This time I also got the chance to go to

Kabir Math

. There is a locality in the city where all the stalwarts of classical music once lived, it is amazing. Being a city of intellectuals and artists, I am overwhelmed every time I am in Varanasi.”
