For the cause of music

To encourage young talent, a cultural organization held a music session titled, Prabhati. Vocalist Sveta Kilpady from Delhi regaled the audience with her performance. She began with raag based compositions like Sau Sau Vare Balma and Pihu Pihu Ratat Papihra that led to a lot of applause from the music lovers. Quite in keeping with the season of monsoon, she presented compositions in raag Gaud Malhar, a raag of monsoons.

Her presentations, Maan Na Kariye Sakhi, Barkha Bairee Bhayo Sajaniya, Kajari Barsan Lagi Sawan Ras gave a feel of the rainy season. The artist went to sing a thumri in raag Bhairavi, Sainya Nikas Gaye. She concluded her performance with Shiv bhajan. She was accompanied by Dr Indradev Chaudhary on harmonium and Pragati Dwivedi on Tanpura.
