Though the festival of colour has long past gone, post Holi events continue to rock the party scene in the city. Varanasi branch of Indian Medical Association (IMA) recently held Basant Utsav where the medicos were greeted in the traditional manner with a gulaal-tika and itra. Dr Arvind Singh, president and Dr Manisha Singh, secretary gave a warm welcome to the members who were treated to a delightful Braj ki Holi by a group of artists from Mathura.

The artists weaved the story through a ballet performance which included a mayur dance. Shipra Mathur as Radha and Vinod Krisna as Lord Krishna impressed the guests, who also joined in the fun. Dr Dharmendra Pandey, Dr Akash, Dr Rajeev, Dr AK Tripathi were spotted shaking a leg with the artists. The highlight of the event turned to be the phoolon wali Holi in which rose petals were sprinkled on the guests.
