Rishab Rikhiram Sharma plans India Tour as part of his ongoing Asia Tour 2026
Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has announced a 10-city India tour as part of the Asia leg of his Sitar For Mental Health Tour 2026. As part of his India tour the sitar-player will perform in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata and New Delhi between March and April 2026.
This tour comes at a time when classical and neo-classical music has been gaining renewed attention among younger audiences, particularly for its meditative and therapeutic qualities. This project has previously toured the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom, where it has focused on conversations around mental well-being through music.
Talking about Rishabh, he is the youngest and last disciple of the late Pandit Ravi Shankar. Known for combining traditional Indian classical frameworks with contemporary influences, he aims to make the sitar accessible to modern and international audiences. His performances often blend classical ragas with improvisation and contemporary sound textures.
Each concert on the tour is planned as a structured experience incorporating classical compositions, cross-genre elements and moments of guided mindfulness. The setlist is expected to include new compositions alongside previously performed works such as Shiv Kailash, Chanakya, Tandavam, The Burning Ghat, Varaha Roopam and Shankara.
Speaking about the tour, he said in a statement, “Music and its power to heal is truly a blessing. While we made the difficult decision to postpone the 2025 India tour, it was done with purpose and solidarity. After performing internationally over the past year, I am looking forward to returning home and reconnecting with Indian audiences through this project.”
