Rangakarmee debuts first English production EERAA, explores silence and self

Theatre group Rangakarmee premiered its first English-language production, EERAA - A Woman’s Search for Mirra Alfassa, at the Rangakarmee Studio Theatre on Thursday, drawing a strong emotional response from audiences. Directed by Anirudh Sarkar, the production marks a significant departure in style following his META Award–winning play Chandaa Bedni. With EERAA, Sarkar leans into stillness, silence and minimalism, crafting what viewers described as an immersive, almost meditative theatrical experience where pauses held as much meaning as dialogue.
