Rabindranath Tagore was remembered on his birth anniversary at a grand event in Ranchi. Majlish, the socio-cultural wing of
Mecon
and SAIL, organised a musical evening to commemorate the birth anniversary of the poet. The event, ‘
Kobi Pranam
’, was held on Wednesday evening and included dance and musical performances by the members of the club. The famous dance drama ‘Chitrangada’ was also staged to a huge applause from the crowd on the occasion. While
Tanima Chatterjee
was in charge for overseeing the cultural performance, the dance events were coordinated by
Koushik Roy and Surojeet Jash. The event also included Rabindrasangeet performances by a choir formed by the club members.
