Rakhi special: ‘We’ve got each other’s back, be it in life or the kitchen’

This Raksha Bandhan, CT dared siblings to cook without killing each other. There were kitchen fails, chai overflows, and a LOT of “Move, I’ll do it!” But behind all the madness was the sweetest thing of all – love that’s messy & loud.

I’d always end up with his projects: Adrika Shaw
Fave childhood memory: “He’d get me water and I’d do his school projects,” says Adrika Shaw, while her brother Rahul says, “She taught me Hindi and always made sure I score well.”
What they cooked: Pasta and some kadak chai

I cook for her, and she spoils me when she gets her salary. I make the most of her kindness (laughs)– Rahul Shaw

He cooks, I eat: Mahima Jain
Fave childhood memory: “Playing hide & seek and always finding didi,” smiles Tanmay Jain, reminiscing about childhood afternoons filled with laughter and tiny victories. His sister, Mahima Jain, chimes in, “We were always fighting – about the remote, about snacks – but somehow, we always ended up watching our fave show together.”
What they cooked: Sauteed veggies and chocolate shake

She was my guinea pig: Preksha Lodha
Fave childhood memory: “I wasn’t thrilled about sharing my parents when she was born, so I turned a bit rebellious and made her my guinea pig for all kinds of experiments,” laughs Preksha Lodha. Muskaan Lodha adds, “I honestly didn’t mind! It was fun! Those silly games and living room salons were the best part of our childhood.”

Biscuit cake

I avoid the kitchen like the plague but this cake was different. It wasn’t just dessert, it was a memory full of spoon fights, floor picnics and layers of childhood baked right in-Preksha Lodha

The biscuit cake was our first recipe as kids, and it stuck with us. With work keeping us so busy, we brought it back this Rakhi. No fancy gifts, just a messy, silly, sweet throwback to simpler times
