Where fitness met creativity and bhangra

As we entered the Cadence Academy, Hadapsar on a beautiful sunny day for the Livon Pune Times Fresh Face Season 11 auditions, we were greeted with the cheers and claps of enthusiastic students.

As our celebrity judge actress Radhika Deshpande took her seat, students were ready to set the stage on fire. Loud laughter was heard for a funny dance number performed by Prachi Hole and her friends.Prachi returned for another performance where she showcased her acting skills and impressed the judge. Boys came forward to showcase their fitness and we saw quite a few pushup challenges where each boy tried to outdo the other. The most fun performance of the day was when student Rahul Gill performed Bhangra and emcee Amar Jajoo joined in.

Radhika was enjoying the performances and was visibly impressed with the student’s confidence level. While speaking of the talent, platform and wishing the youngsters all the best, she expressed, "It is a wonderful initiative that new, young and fresh faces are being given a chance so they can discover themselves through these competitions. They are getting the opportunity to show new ideas and talent in front of the audience and the young blood of India. It also helps to put forth their views of India, of life and helps the students express themselves. It is an overall personality development competition and these should happen in a positive way which is being done successfully for five years.”
