Students set the stage on fire with their quirky dance moves
Aloud applause and an enthusiastic audience greeted us at the
Saloni Nikam seemed to be a crowd favourite when she slayed the stage with her dance moves. The audience sang along to student Zahoor Khan when he took the stage. Vocals were also performed by Karnoi Mega as the audience clapped along to the tunes of his guitar. There was an absolute silence and attention during Simran Talreja’s heart-rending performance, enacting a scene based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Another powerful performance was when a student took on the role of Nirbhaya and told her story in a small scene of three minutes.
For our celebrity judge, the talented singer and actress Meera Joshi was thoroughly enjoying each performance. The most surprising moment was to see a thirteen-year-old Dakshita, a fashion design student performed a series of yoga moves for us.
Not just beautiful performances but we also saw creative talent as students sketched, painted and made beautiful paper crafts. Meera Joshi says, “It is a great platform and gives a very good promotion to the students. I loved the talent especially, the girls who danced and really wanted to dance with them on stage.”
