Puneites get together to raise money for the widows of Vrindavan

Puneites witnessed a special event where in a celebration of Paramhansa Yogananda, a great yoga master's 125th birth anniversary was celebrated.

The audience in the event got the opportunity to witness witness the ‘Shiv Hari

Jugalbandi

’, a rare performance featuring virtuosos

Shivkumar Sharma

and Hariprasad Chaurasia. The event also saw Bahvani Shankar on the pakhawaj and Vijay Ghate on tabla to accompany the virtusos.

The event was a fundraiser for the widowed women of

Vrindavan

as Pramhansa Yogananda was the ideal of charitable trust. The donations recieved would be used for charitable activities and the awareness of the trust.The evnt took place at Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch in
