For the preservation of Indian classical art and culture, Uttung Sanskritik Parivar Trust has been working for more than 25 years in Mumbai and Thane, including Pune. Pt. Madhukar Kothare (London) Smriti Uttung Sangeet Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was organised by this Trust. ‘Jugalarang’ classical music by young artists Gandhar Deshpande and Aditya Modak was organised on this occasion.

With the aim of continuing the legacy of India's historical and timeless Guru-Shishya tradition, encouraging promising young artists for art worship, and for the promotion of Indian classical arts and culture in Pune-Mumbai-Thane for more than 25 years. Pt. Madhukar Kothare (London) Smriti Uttung Sangeet Scholarship was announced.

They were accompanied by Swapnil Bhise (Tabla) and Sudhanshu Gharpure (Samwadini). The event was held at MES Hall, Mayur Colony, Kothrud. The event was preceded by an award ceremony followed by a classical singing concert. The event was free for all.
