FTII acting students perform a musical drama

, stage a mesmerising act titled

Duvidha

at the Main Theatre.

Duvidha, is a riveting folktale by noted Rajasthani writer Vijay Dan Detha that tells the story of a newly-wed woman whose husband leaves for work in a faraway city and she encounters a ghost, who falls in love with her, takes on the form of her husband and begins living with her.

The spell-binding performance was the outcome of a month-long practice by the 10 actors who are at the end of their second semester.

Play Director Ajay Kumar is an alumnus of

National School of Drama

, New Delhi. He is a versatile film and theatre personality. Kumar has been working on

Katha Gaayan Vaachan

, a rare and traditional narrative art form of India, where an actor performs many characters as well as doing the job of a singer and a musician. He has acted in more than 50 plays and is a visiting faculty at the National School of Drama.
