Indian Society of Structural Engineers (ISSE) recently conferred its first Lifetime Achievement Award to well-known structural consultant Chandrakant Godse for his contribution in the field of structural consultancy and structural design in Pune. This award was presented to him by chief guest Dr VV Nori at the function organised at Pune Mariott Hotel and Convention Centre.
Jayant V Inamdar, chairman — ISSE, Pune chapter, secretary GA Bhilare, treasurer Arun Gokhale, Gautam Pashankar, Anuj Bhandari, Harish Chandani, Sanjay Ghalsasi, Ashok Kataria, chief engineer irrigation department Rajendra Pawar , executive engineer Prakash Misal, Dy district officer Tanaji Shinde, architect VV Badwe, BAI members, committee members of ISSE and members from construction fraternity were present here. Dr VV Nori gave a special presentation on ‘Historical Innovations in Civil Engineering’. Elaborating on the role of ISSE, Inamdar said, “The basic objective of ISSE is to restore the desired status of structural engineers in construction industry and to create awareness about the profession.”
