A musical evening held in the city

Renowned vocalists including young vocalist Yashaswi Sirpotdar paid homage to late Vocalist Pt. Shrikant Deshpande in a special event ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ organized at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium in the city recently. The event was organized by Sheela Deshpande, wife of Pt. Shrikant Deshpande along with ‘Shrikant Deshpande Mitra Mandal’. Sirpotdar started her performance with Raag Multani which was very much appreciated by the audience.She also presented a composition 'Sakhi Ghan Garajat' which is a 'Bandish ki Thumri' in Raag Desh. She was accompanied by Suyog Kundalkar on Harmonium, Rohit Mujumdar on Tabla and Vaidehi Avdhani and Shruti Ghalasasi on Tanpura.
