A magical jugalbandi by young artists in Pune

Providing a platform to young talent,

Samanvay

, a two-day festival, saw jugalbandi performances by various artistes, on three unique concepts. The performances –

Sahodar

(The Siblings), Tribhukti (The Confluence) and Jasrangi (Shiva and Shakti) – were all duets of Indian classical music, where the musicians complemented each other’s skills.

Performed on day one, Sahodar saw brothers Chirag and Chintan Katti play various renditions on the sitar, accompanied by

Swapnil Bhise

and Yashwant Vaishnav on tablas. The next day sisters Debopriya and

Suchismita

collaborated on flutes accompanied by Yadnesh Raikar on the violin for Tribhukti. And Jasrangi saw young talents Krishna Bongane and Ankita Joshi enthrall the audience with their duet of different ragas. The event, that took place on February 10-11 at

Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium

, saw a packed house of classical music enthusiasts on both days.
