Youngsters try to make Mother’s Day special

It’s Mother's Day and city youngsters are going all out to make their mothers feel special amid the

lockdown

. While some are cooking their mother’s favourite dishes, others have created special gifts to make the day memorable.

, a lawyer, her mother is her best friend. She said, “I celebrate Mother’s Day every year. This year too, I am doing something special for my mother. Since we can’t go out due to the lockdown, I’m baking her favourite fruit cake. Besides, I’ve gifted her a wallet I made using

waste

materials.”

Komal Kumari, another college-goer said, “I have gifted my mom a homemade card. My siblings and I are also doing all the household

chores

so that mom gets a free day.”

Some of them have also gifted homemade masks to their mothers. Rahul Raj, an engineer, said, “I’ve stitched a few masks with the help of my sister and that’s my gift to our mom. This will help her to stay safe when she steps out for essentials.”
