Patnaites rejoice after pre-monsoon shower
After months of scorching heat, Patnites warmly welcomed the dark clouds. Pre-monsoon showers on Wednesday brought some respite from the unbearable heat. The temperature dipped to 35 degrees from an all-time high of 44-degree Celsius.

The weather became so pleasant that it automatically charged up everyone. One could see youngsters enjoying on the streets. A few college students could be seen getting drenched. Sugandha Agrawal, said, “It was an unexpected shower. While going to the college, the sun was almost overhead. But post noon, we witnessed strong wind followed by heavy rains. Once our classes got over, my friends and I got drenched while going home. But we enjoyed it thoroughly.”

Sharing similar views, Ankita Tiwari, another college student, said, “I loved the pre-monsoon rains. We had a family time over masala tea and pakoras at home. The intense

summer

heat was killing us.”

However, after the rains, the office goers had to face a heavy traffic jam in many areas, especially around 6 pm. Rahul Kumar, a salesman, said, “My office is on SP Verma Road. While returning-back home through Baiely Road, I was stuck in the jam. It’s a common sight in

Patna

.”

Suman Sinha, an engineer, said, “My office is located near Anishabad. I witnessed a heavy traffic jam while returning home at around 7 pm. Normally, I take 20 minutes to reach home, which is on

Khagaul

Road. However, yesterday it took me over one hour. It was really frustrating.”
