Sukriti Priya, a college student, said, “Artists of Bihar are preparing a variety of attractive artworks for Diwali. If we gift these decorative pieces and hand-made diyas, it will definitely make our friends happy. Gifting a Madhubani painting can also be an option.”

While you can buy dry fruit boxes from any grocery or fruit shop, you can pair it up with an attractive silver bowl available at almost every jewellery store. Pia Dubey, a boutique owner, said, “I buy gifts according to the taste and age group of my friends and relatives. This year, I have planned to buy a few silver bowls and plates for our special friends, and chocolates and dry fruit boxes for others.”

Some have even decided to gift plants this year. Tripti, a teacher, said, “I will buy green gifts this Diwali, like
