Here’s how celebs spent World Book Day

Though the World Book Day celebration was a low-key affair worldwide, a few celebs from Bihar shared how no pandemic can dilute their love for books.
Singer Shashi Suman considers books his best companions. “I carry a book with me wherever I go. Even at home, I read a few pages of a book before hitting the bed. This lockdown has given me ample time to read. I love books by Arundhati Roy, Jhumpa Lehri, Vikram Seth and Chetan Bhagat.”
Popular actor Vineet Kumar is also an avid reader. “Recently, I read Jai Shankar Prasad’s Gunda and I loved it. I also love reading works of Anita Desai, RK Narayan and Khuswant Singh,” he told us.
Actress Anara Gupta said, “I’m currently reading works of

by Ruskin Bond. Once I complete it, I will start Lord of the Flies by William Golding.”

likes reading adventure, drama, fiction and horror books. “I believe that reading any type of book not only entertains us and kills our boredom, but it also provides us with some knowledge. During the lockdown, I am reading Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. I also love to read poems written by Uday Prakash."
