City girls go trendy in latest handloom apparels
Almost all the colleges in the city have reopened and classes are going on in full swing. While some of the colleges follow a particular dress code, there are some colleges that still allow students to dress according to their choice. Girls of those colleges can be seen donning colourful handloom salwar kameez and designer kurtis that are best for the season.
Supriya Sharma, a second-year student of Magadh Mahila College, said, “Madhubani and block prints are in vogue these days. Besides, girls can be seen flaunting their handmade duppatas and applique dresses. Since
Sharing similar views, Sugandha, a student of Arvind Mahila College, said, “We have been asked to wear traditional dresses in college. Therefore, to look our best, we choose handloom salwar kameez, which are available in different designs and patterns.”
A wide range of khadi and linen wear are also in demand. Priya Singh, a fourth-year student of a reputed fashion institute, said, “I am happy to see that these days girls are donning trendy yet traditional dresses, which look amazing. Some of the linen duppatas, designed by regional artists, completely match the standards of those designed by artists in metro cities.”
