Celebs advise people to go green to curb air pollution in Patna

is still in the severe range. While the administration is working hard to curb it, celebs from Bihar are also encouraging people to use masks and stay safe when they head outdoors. Shashi Suman, a singer, said, “People must use a mask when they venture outside their homes. They should also sprinkle water in their localities to reduce pollution arising from dust. Besides, an effort should be made to use public transport more than private vehicles to curb vehicular pollution.”

Celebs who are worried over the matter have requested people to go green. Rajesh Kumar, an actor, who was in Patna recently, said, “I am sad to see that the air-pollution index has crossed the red line in the city. The citizens of Bihar must take an initiative to plant more trees to avoid such situation in the future. Plants are the only way to reduce pollution.”

Sharing similar views, actress Neetu Chandra said, “Pollution has always been a big problem in Patna, especially during winters. Most of us only believe in blaming the government for everything. But, what do we do to change such things? It is high time we thought a bit about it and took certain initiatives. Deforestation must be stopped immediately. Old vehicles must not be allowed on roads as they emit harmful gases that are not safe for breathing. Youngsters must create awareness among people on how to curb air pollution in Patna. Such things will help improve the air quality of the city in the near future.”
