Bihar Food Festival tickles city’s taste buds
A large number of people gathered for the Bihar Food Festival organised on Tuesday at Gandhi Maidan. The fest provided a grand opportunity for city residents to tickle their taste buds with a variety of traditional food items from various states of the country.

From chatpata chats to delicious masala dosas, people could relish any snack provided by the stall keepers. Subodh Mishra, a food stall owner from Bihar, said, “I participated in a food fest for the second time. People really loved the litti-chokha that I offered them. In fact, I made a sale of around Rs 6,000 in one day. Other stall owners are also happy with the customer footfall.”

Echoing similar dentiments, Sanjay, a food stall owner from Uttar Pradesh, said, “I put up a stall of special chole-bhature. People of Bihar, especially youngsters, appreciated the quality of food that I served them. We participated in the fair to promote the traditional

cuisine

of our state. This initiative will help people know about the food cultures of other states. It will increase the sense of brotherhood among each other.”

Besides food stalls, traders from various states also sold a variety of pickles, homemade chips, dry sweets and beverages.
