An evening of classic music and dance
The 12th Ninad Utsav, organised in the city recently, turned out to be one memorable affair. The event not only saw who's who from the music fraternity, but also witnessed a brilliant performance by
Neelam Choudhary
and her troupe. Neelam, an acclaimed Kathak dancer herself, also happens to be a disciple ofPandit Birju Maharaj
. The evening also saw rendition of songs by vocalistUstad Rashid Khan
, who sang popular numbers like Aaoge jab tum sajna, Yaad piya ki aaye and Ae ri saakhi piya ghar aaye. He was accompanied by Murad Ali, who played Sarangi, Pandit Kushal Das, who was on sitar and Pandit Jyoti Goho, who played the harmonium.end of article
