I could see their interest in folk when the performance was going on. This boosted our confidence even more and helped us perform our best. Music depicts the culture and tradition of a place. After performing in Bihar, I feel that the state has a rich culture and people follow certain ethics in their life.”
Students of the college also enjoyed the evening, dancing to songs like Kesariya Balam, Padharo Maaro Desh, Saanu Ek Pal Chain Na Aawe, Laal Merri Pat Rakhyio and Dama Dum Mast Kalandar. Sudeep Kumar, a second-year student of the college, said, “We saw the Kutle Khan band for the first time on stage and it was very exciting. My friends and I danced to Dama Dum Mast Kalandar. Personally, I love to listen to the folk music of various states. Therefore, it was a musical treat for me.”
Echoing similar words, Suman Tiwari, another second-year student of the college, said, “I always look forward to such events. I loved the performance of the musicians and vocalists. It refreshed each one of us.”
