A folk event, Shahiri, entertains people

Popular art and culture group, Arthshila, recently organised a folk event, Shahiri, at Bihar Museum. The event started with a discussion on the thousand years old folk music of Maharashtra to promote the India’s cultural heritage.
After the discussion, the folk singer Sambhaji Bhagat and his team reintroduced the subject through their performance at the venue.The unique singing and musical combination titled, Vidrohi Shahiri Jalsa, entertained the audiences well. He said, “Our group is such a sensitive team of musicians who want to spread democracy and its value among the masses through culture. We always work to keep our culture and tradition alive through music. Our team loves to perform on the legends of our country like Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Through our folk performances and various theatre plays we communicate his ideologies to the people. Sometimes we also showcase his journey right from his birth till his death.”
