The show begins

Dedicated to the legendary classical singer Bhimsen Joshi, the 7th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) took off with a soulful rendition of Joshiji���s favourite abhang by Sreenivas Joshi, his son and disciple.
Yesteryear actress Sulochana, actor Shashi Kapoor and actress Hema Malini were honoured with Lifetime Achievement awards. The audio-visual presentation on each of these legendary actors was followed by a standing ovation that brought tears to the eyes of the awardees.
Political personalities Anand Sharma, Chhagan Bhujbal and Harshvardhan Patil were also felicitated on the occasion by Suresh Kalmadi, Chairman, PIFF.Tabu was also present, and she looked gorgeous. Mayor Rajlaxmi Bhosale, Dr Jabbar Patel and Randhir Kapoor also graced the event. At the end followed the screening of the PIFF inaugural film Persepolis.
