Sarangi ustad Kamal Sabri, who has earlier been part of several music initiatives, including some involving the Tihar Jail inmates, will be performing at the Independence Day celebrations in Helsinki.
Sarangi ustad Kamal Sabri, who has earlier been part of several music initiatives, including some involving the Tihar Jail inmates, will be performing at the Independence Day celebrations in Helsinki.
Kamal says that he’s been to Helsinki before, and is glad they’re celebrating the Indian Independence Day there. The concert, which is called Gondhari, will feature a few performances by Indian artistes.
“I introduced the sarangi there in 1996, and people in Finland have grown to love the sound of the instrument. I’m performing at one of the largest and most prestigious venues there,” he says.
Kamal says that he’s been to Helsinki before, and is glad they’re celebrating the Indian Independence Day there. The concert, which is called Gondhari, will feature a few performances by Indian artistes.
