Gatherings of friends, families and colleagues, with lip smacking delicacies and interesting conversations, are now being jazzed up with themes that make parties not just swanky affairs, but also memorable ones. This was the reason that a theme party organised some city-based businessmen was a fun affair that had all the elements of a rocking party.
The theme was ‘Rangeela’ and so the late evening rendezvous saw many ‘Aamir Khans’ and ‘Urmilas’ decked up in their best and making a lasting impression on the party.
If Mangesh Joshi flaunted his orange attire and sported a tapori Aamir Khan look, Sonali Sawarkar dazzled in her yellow sari that gave her a typical Urmila look. And why did the organisers choose this theme? “We wanted to do something different for our party. We wanted everyone to take a break from their otherwise mundane lives and enjoy to the hilt. And so we came up with this theme,” said Prashant Abhyankar. There was a riot of colour everywhere, justifying the theme. The fun element was pepped up as everyone of them shook a leg and danced to their hearts content on numbers like Yayiyee re, O rama yeh kya Hua, Kya kare kya na kare. Various games were also organised for the couples, who played them with a lot of enthusiasm. While Pramod and Minakshi Patwatrdhan won the balloon dance game, Bhanu and Bharati Rajgopalan walked away with 'The best fighting with spouse' award. Abhijeet Deo won the Best Munna, while Tina Puri took the Best Mili crown. It was indeed a colourful affair!
