It has to be unadulterated fun, jamboree and pure masti. Kashti 2007, an inter-collegiate fest, organized by a management institute in the city recently, had one of everything.
The final event was a fashion show which saw participation of scores of students.
As a bevy of smart young gals and guys from various colleges glided on the stage, the roar of the crowd grew louder and clearer. There were two themes, 'Hare Rama, Hare Krishna' and the Cowboy theme. As the popular number Hare Rama Hare Krishna played, the participants walked the ramp wearing outfits with the letter Om written on them. It was a lovely mix of fashion and spritualism.Even the audience swayed to the rhythm of the songs. They added style, substance and spirit to the round as they beautifully matched steps to the foot-tapping numbers like Dum Maro Dum and Hare Rama, Hare Krishna. The 'Cowboy' theme proved to be a super crowd puller. The participants thrilled the audience with their attitude and style. The more the attitude, the more was the cheering! Says Tanuja, who who won the runners up title, "It was truly a wonderful platform to showcase your skills and talent on the ramp. We all have really enjoyed performing here. " Says Gaurav, a management student who was present and seen enjoying the event, "All the participants have put up a very good show. We have enjoyed to the fullest." The occasion also became a meeting point for the lovey-dovey couples and all those who were single were ready to mingle. It was a power packed fun! Guests of honour for the valedictory function were V Murli and S D Bhave. Also present on the occasion were Preeti Bajaj and Swati Sharma.
