It was the time for youth to get back to their roots, and how? SPIC-MACAY a Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth, organised a musical camp in college campus.
The society brought to us the santoor maestro, Bhajan Sapori, who was extremely interactive with the keen youngsters. By playing santoor the artiste showed his virtuosity to them which was indeed quite inspiring. So much so, the students enthusiastically participated as they sang the musical notes – Sa Re Ga Ma in the same strain as Bhajan Sapori. This internationally acclaimed artiste was accompanied by Durjey Bhoumik, who was on tabla and Shraddha Tikku gave beautiful music on her sur santoor. College principal HL Dutt and Sudhir Halwasiya looked truly mesmerised by the musical environment thus created. Priyanka Agrawal was seen busy capturing some musical moments in camera phone.
