Love knows no boundaries
The wedding ceremony of Noorie Hasan and Ebaduddin Khan was a close-knit family affair.
The highlight of this nikaah was the beautiful blend of Sikkimese culture with that of the Nawabi culture which lent the nikaah an interesting twist. Where on one hand the baratis were welcomed in true nawabi style by applying kewra and sprinkling of itra, the bride���s family presented everyone Khada, a white sikkimese scarf.
Unexpectedly this marriage did not play host to any non-veg food and ofcourse all the guests missed the chance of savouring pure Nawabi khana.
The groom���s parents, Hisamuddin Khan and Anis Akhtar took care of all the arrangements. Devoid of any shor-sharaba and loud music, the ambience was a peaceful one.
Providing a helping hand to Ebaduddin���s parents were Noorie���s father, Dil Hasan and mother Shah Jahan Begum.
We also spotted many who���s who of the city including Anis Ahmad (Ministre of Hajj), Zahur Zaidi, DP Bora, Dr Neeraj Bora, Shahbuddin Khan, (President Sunni board of India) Noor Hasan Ansari and Salahuddin Khan.
