doweshowbellyad=0; Students make the most of the ‘Formals day’ (TOI Photo) It’s ‘the’ time on the college campuses when bunking is given a pass. And students just can’t have enough of college life. Wondering what’s the reason. Well, this is the time of the year when fun and celebrations rule campuses. Amid loads of enthusiasm, B K Majumdar Institute of Business Administration (HLBBA) college kicked off its cultural festival — Antarnad by celebrating ‘formal day’ on the campus.
The campus donned a new look as all the students were dressed in their best formal dresses. Girls showed off their cool attitude in traditional saris and boys wore their best formal suits. The event holds a special emotional value for the final year students as on this very day, their entire batch pictures are clicked. Then they are given this photo as a parting gift by their juniors. The Gujarat University’s recent ban on celebrating the days has not deterred the enthusiasm of these soon-to-be management graduates. “We have taken note of the University’s decision on this matter but we also wanted to channelise the enthusiasm of students. These kind of celebrations instill a sense of togetherness,” said Chirag Trivedi, Professor-in-charge of student’s activities.
