For the sake of a crown
27 women of Nagpur are building their confidence and transforming into elegant swans for the Mrs Vidarbha 07 fashion show.
Deep within her heart, every woman nurtures a desire to be recognised for her spirit, achievement and beauty. A total of 27 women of the city these days are looking forward to something that's really exciting. It is walking the ramp for a crown.
It is for this reason that city homemakers, businesswoman, doctors and other professionals have come together.
Sayyad Ayaz Ali and Raju Kariya of Aarc Realities Pvt Ltd, who are launching their company Cine Aarc International with this event, said that the show is for families and not for any particular segment of the society. “It's for women who want to prove their mettle to themselves and to the world," they add.
The women participants have decided to bring about a revolution in their lives when they walk the ramp in style on November 3 at Krazy Castle.
Businesswoman Shilpa Agarwal, who is rehearsing for the show, puts it beautifully, "I am now exploring the hidden talent within me. I had no idea about this other side of me.” For women like Dr Alfiya Ali, it’s all about overcoming stage fright, honing her communication skills and giving a new look to herself. She says, “Initially, the thought of wearing well-fitted clothes would actually scare me. But now I am very comfortable in skin tight jeans and a figure hugging top."
For those who thought that walking the ramp could be done only by those who are fit as a fiddle, Sangeeta Mishra who has been fighting breast cancer is an icon. A mother of two, Sangeeta says, "Fighting cancer needs a lot of mental and physical strength. It drained me of all my energy and I wanted to do something to boost my confidence. That's the reason I came here."
Cine actress Mahima Chaudhary will be the chief guest of the evening, while Miss India Earth - Reshmi Ghosh, actress Amna Sharif and telly stars Cezanne Khan and Rahul Prakash will be the judges. Stand up comedian Naveen Prabhakar and the Yasmin group from Mumbai will be performing too at the event.
