The students of a city management institute spoke just one language - the language of music on Friday as singer Mohit Chauhan took them on an unforgettable musical sojourn with his soothing numbers. Once he began crooning his hallmark song Dooba dooba...not a single soul in the audience could stop prevent themselves from swaying to its rhythm. It was not just the karvachauth ka chand that lit up the dark skies.
As students captured pictures of the singer on their cell phones, the flashes from their mobile phones lit up the venue. First year student Anjan Sethi, who took numerous pictures of the singer, said, "His music can be best defined as calming and a balm for frayed nerves.
I am sure everybody must have enjoyed his numbers." And that seemed to be quite true as his another popular number 'Tum se hi...' was enjoyed by students, who were continuously clapping. The cheers got louder as the singer obliged and did an encore! Second year student Neha Singh, said, "Life assumes a different meaning when you hear such soul stirring music live." For all those ghazal lovers, the song Guncha Koi....was just the perfect one to make their hearts go pitter patter. Songs apart, Mohit regaled his young audience with his wit too. Commenting about the backbenchers, he said, "There is a song from my band which says Duniya ke is bheed mein, sabse peeche hum khade... This song is made for all the backbenchers. I have been a backbencher throughout my college life and I feel backbenchers are the best. They carve a niche and its special in a different manner!"
