Dandiya Dhamaal in Nagpur

With Navratri marking the start of the festive season, Nagpurians are all geared up for the dandiya dhamaal. At the Sankalp dandiya, we spotted lots of festivity, which included witnessing a riot of colours and of course desi dance moves.

This dandiya do had no filmy songs playing, but instead had people dancing on traditional Gujarati tunes and devotional numbers.Explaining the rationale behind this Vipin Kamdar said, "Some days should be dedicated for such songs. Filmy songs are played everywhere, but one rarely gets to hear such traditional songs. The garba season gives us a chance to bond with our cultural side."
Chance Pe Dance
Garba season is a period when youngsters have a blast. Endorsing this Vishesh Agrawal said cheekily, "This is the best time of the year as no girl refuses to dance with you! It's like paradise for guys All in all, it's a gala time for everybody."
