Ma baap ka naam roshan: When we made the final halt for Clean & Clear Chandigarh Times Fresh Face 2013 at Indo-Global Colleges in city’s periphery, we were quite taken in by the ambition of these kids to "do my parents proud", as was echoed by one and all of the students who participated in the auditions.
Encouraged by the ultimate reward of this contest, (two winning girls get a chance to be the face of Clean & Clear), we saw a deluge of contestants in this college of budding engineers, architects etc.
1x1 polls

Food for thought: This huge participation was well backed by lucid and intelligent opinions as we discovered right in the beginning, the introductory round. Our host, Madhukar Malhotra was able to effortlessly conduct the contest as students kept pouring in on stage and gave copious introductions about themselves and their talents. So, by the second round, which is the talent round, we had an assortment of talents ranging from rapping, singing, modelling, dancing to mimicry.
Nach nach dharti hilade: When the judges posed the question in the final round, 'Why do you think you are so popular in this college?' to Garima Sharma, before she could respond we heard the crowd prompting, 'Because she is so pretty.' The flawless skinned Garima, who made the floor reverberate to her Punjabi dance steps, was unanimously chosen the winner (girls). Mihir Mayur emoted pretty 'seriously' on Balam Pichkari, belted out by our deejay, Mick-e, and feigned to fall on floor on the line 'Tune mujhe maari'. He also showed off some moonwalking and walked away as the winner (boys). The doe-eyed Mehweesh Jan was declared first runner-up (girls) while the brainy Zeeshan Ahmed with his immaculate dressing shared that position with her among boys. The dainty Sushmita and bashful Wasim Shafi finished as second runners-up in girls and boys respectively.
