Celebrating youth!

The last day of MITCON Youth Fiesta ���09 was indeed a fitting culmination to the four day event.
The fervour was pitched very high with a huge crowd that had gathered to catch the excitement of the grand finale. Dinesh Munot was the chief guest at the event. A famous city club was chosen as the venue for various competitions slated for the day. It started off with a singing competition with singer Bela Shinde as judge.This was followed by some scintillating solo and group dance performances by students. Instructors from Shiamak Dawar Institute of Performing Arts had a tough task before them of choosing the winners. The students of MITCON also presented a medley directing the attention to the need for national integration. It was time to award the winners for all the competitions and it took place amidst thunderous applause. Later the winners from singing and dance competitions stole the hearts of the guests with their confident performances.
The highlight of the day was the fashion show with interesting themes like mafia, casino, fusion on parade. Mr & Miss Youth Icon were chosen from the participants by a panel of judges comprising Minocher Patel, DJ Abhishekh Mantri, Former Mr Grasim Vivek Pawar, Sumeti Arora, RJ Abhishekh, Richard Barua.
The guests were treated to sumptuous multi cuisine dinner. Among other dignitaries present were Ashish Mittal, Manoj Menon and Dr Pradeep Bavadekar. The guests went gaga praising the organisers from MITCON that included Prof Pavnesh Kaushik, Prof Shashank Devekar, Mrs Chandrama Roy, Samina Khalid, Amita Palesha and Divya Khanna.
