Bandhani dupattas, lak ki choodis, sarees with the famous block-printing from Rajasthan and handicrafts showcasing the creative brilliance of artisans the ongoing Gram Shri Mela at Jawahar Kala Kendra has it all.
The fair, thats all about the traditions and culture of Rajasthan, has people pouring in not just from Jaipur, but from neighbouring towns as well, to shop for exquisite handicrafts and be a part of the colourful celebrations.

SHOPAHOLICS DELIGHT: Though the fair organised by CAPART is a regular event, however, Jaipurites await the festival with great excitement. Every time the fair is held, it has something new to offer. Sometimes some cultural programmes are also organised and that makes for a great evening. I try and come for the fair every time I get to know about it and collect as many interesting things as possible, be it hand-painted mats and mugs or some traditional jewellery, smiled Ishi, who was busy buying some pretty anklets from one of the stalls at the fair.
WHATS COOL? Chunky silver anklets, hoops, lak bangles in different shapes, hand-made jholas and block-printed stoles were the most asked for items at the fair. Its perhaps the best place to look for trendy and traditional things at reasonable prices. I love the colourful jholas that are difficult to find anywhere else, said Anuradha, one of the visitors at the festival.
