Book lovers are having a great time
On the fourth day too, the ongoing 30th National book fair continued to draw a large number of book lovers.
On the fourth day too, the ongoing 30th National book fair continued to draw a large number of book lovers. The latest connoisseur who was attracted to the book fair was the member of BCCI’s media commitee Rajan Nair.
NT chatted up with him as he selected his favourites:I like the most: "I have a liking for books based on facts and real life drama and not fiction. I had been a student of English literature and it is British English that appeals to me. Apart from these, I also have a penchant for books pertaining to sports, travel, wildlife and even books based on war."
My favourite authors: "I have been particularly influenced by Khushwant Singh. He is a person with whose works, you can associate yourself quite closely. Another author who I like is Frederick Forsyth and his 'Day of the Jackal' is a wonderful read."
Reading as a habit: "With rapid technical advancement, reading as a leisurely activity has definitely taken a backseat. But one thing is sure that the book lovers will still take out time from their busy schedules and indulge themselves."
