And the moment the reel docs stepped in the entire audience went berserk and stood up to catch a glimpse of the cine stars Rajkumar Hirani and Boman Irani.
Though the guests were expected to discuss about medicines and medical health in 2022, yet they discussed everything under the sun, except medicines.
And as Dr Debashish Naha, who played a doctor in Munna bhai M.B.B.S., narrated the preparations that went into the movie, Rajkumar Hirani recalled the days he spent in GMCH hostel and said, "The doctors are really strange and unique. When I used to come to the GMCH hostel, I was amazed to see that the medical students are using the human skull as ashtray." The director even admitted that throughout the day he was only thinking of what to say at the event.
After this it was the turn of the Dean of the Imperial Institute of Medical Science, Dr J. Asthana aka Boman Irani to address the audience. And the reel Dean started with a request to walk in a 'typical Dean style' to the incumbent Dean, Dr Vibhawari Dani, who responded in good humour.
After this Boman, got up to address the gathering and he revealed different things ranging from the moments he detested in the film, the nervous moments to the things he enjoyed during shoots.
Boman said, "The good thing is that I got a chance to act with many beautiful heroines, but sadly I had to play the role of their fathers. As far as my role in the movie is concerned, I detested the laughter therapy, though it became a superhit. I was also nervous to act with the legendary actor Sunil Dutt, who was facing the camera after 16 years."
