An amazing cultural festival
With performances by Kathak dancer V Anuradha Singh and a tabla rendition by Anuradha Pal, one got to witness grace, rhythm and power.
With performances by Kathak dancer V Anuradha Singh and a tabla rendition by Anuradha Pal, one got to witness grace, rhythm and power. The audience was left spellbound with the magical performances by the two women artists.
The Kathak performance by V Anuradha Singh started with a Shiva Vandana in Kalika Dosh Vimochanam. This was followed by Chalan, a rhythmic journey shown by her elegant footwork called Laykari.
She then presented an item
of Shudh Kathak and then went on to perform a dance based on Raag Malkauns. She ended her performance with a dance based on a thumri Mohe Chedo Na.
The second half saw an energetic performance by Anuradha Pal and her troupe depicting stree shakti, with the initial performance being dedicated to Goddess Durga. This was followed by a rendition, which was based on Raag Hansdhwani and then subsequently on Raag Bhairavi. The event concluded with a Pasayadan rendered by Manasi Deshpande.
