The four day fest was inaugurated by State Higher Education Minister, Rakesh Dhar Tripathi. LC Mishra, vice chancellor of the university delivered a speech and invited all the guests and students to join the gala of events. This four day fest was packed with classical performances of music, dance, puppet shows, plays, Rajasthani folk, Bhojpuri Raag and much more.
Not only that the fest also saw an 'installation' competition where students were supposed to dipict a theme on-the-spot.
Participants from a prominent college of the city depicted ‘belief', signifying superstition prevalent in society, while students from Kanpur university worked on the theme of Global warming. Following this competition were a series of dance performances, puppet shows and musical renditions. The highlight of the event was a soulful performance of Som Pratap Singh’s on Chod ke na ja saiyya more based on Raag Pahar which was appreciated by one and all. What left the audience spellbound was another classical performance of Kathak by Sonam Gupta.
