A 'starry' evening
Chetan Shah, a city based businessman decided to threw a party for his 11-yr-old daughter Devanshi at a city hotel recently.
Think of a birthday bash and it conjures up images of balloons, cake, wafers, gifts and a gathering of loads of friends and relatives around you. But now it's the theme of a birthday party that has gained momentum and makes a party a unique one.
And that's what Chetan Shah, a city based businessman decided to do for his 11-yr-old daughter Devanshi at a city hotel recently. The birthday girl clad in a white frock with flowery print was the cynosure of all eyes.
"The theme of the birthday party was 'Chandni' as Devanshi was born on a full-moon night. Paper made moon and stars glittered all over and gave a perfect ambience to the theme. The Shahs made sure that the young and the old alike enjoyed the event.
Kids grooved to the peppy numbers like Kya Mujhe Pyaar hai, Beedi jaliyle, belted out by DJ Abhishek, which pepped up the rhythm of the bash. The tempo was so jazzed up that even the oldies could not stop themselves from shaking a leg.
But the show stealer was the cake cutting ceremony where Devanshi dressed herself as a fairy, cut the cake while an old number 'Mere ghar aayi ek nanhi pari' was played in the background. The guests relished a sumptuous dinner at the end of the party.
