A 'shayrana' do in Lucknow
Well-known shayars presented their finest compositions at a mushaira organised in Lucknow lately.
The chief guest, Dr Shakeel Ahmad, Minister of State (Communication and Information Technology), enlightened the guests with his knowledge of Urdu and said that people usually have this wrong notion that Urdu is not from India but the fact is that this precious language actually originated from India only.

The beautiful evening started on a funny note with famous shayar and lawyer Rajiv Raaz pointing out the similarity between a lawyer and a shayar saying that neither lied. Later other prominent shayars including Tariq Quamar, Khusbir Singh Shaad, Dr Sehba Ali, Sabina Adeeb, Sagar Khaiyyami, Waseem Bareilbi, etc entertained the audience with their sher and nazm.
