Give it up for the class of 2013: Recently, the final-year students of computer science branch at Acropolis Technical Campus were given a gala farewell bash at one of the hotels in the city. “The class of 2013 is known as ‘Terabytes’, because of our full-on masti attitude. Our batch is all about fun-loving guys and gals, and we take keen interest in participating in extra-curricular stuff apart from the academics.
So our farewell was bound to be special,” remarked Parth Garg, a final-year student and one of the hosts of the do. The event was co-hosted by Ashutosh Sasode, a third-year student.
Fun, food and fashion: While the event kick-started on time, most of the PYTs in the house dropped in a little late, owing to their hitch of draping a sari. “We’re not used to wearing a sari, but that’s the dress code for all the senior gals. So time toh lagna hi tha!” chuckled Pooja, a final-year student who had a red chiffon sari on. As soon as the crowd gathered, it was time for fun games like musical chair and paper dance, apart from sharing anecdotes of their college life on stage. Punit Lalwani, a final-year student, shared, “I remember bunking college for the first time along with my friends and the person whom we asked for lift happened to be our faculty member, who then drove us back to college. We got a nice hearing from our Dean. It was one dreadful experience!” On hearing this, everyone burst into laughter. After this, the Terabytes along with their juniors burned the dance floor grooving to peppy numbers like
Disco Deewane and
Hookah Bar before relishing their taste-buds with the yummy delicacies on menu.
What's your title: One activity that kept everyone on a high was the extremely hilarious title-giving session. Titles like
Chachi 420, Khiladi No1, Mr Bunty Without Bubbly were given away amid squeals of laughter. Archit Neema and Pooja Bhokre got the Mr and Ms Farewell titles, respectively. “The idea of presenting everyone with titles was to make them realize that each one of them is extremely special for us. We’ve been keeping a track of their mannerisms all these years and now it’s time to announce it,” grinned Ashutosh Sasode, a student.
