Ram Advani (TOI photo)Photography can be a means of capturing special moments, fascinating places, interesting objects or even captivating faces. But there’s a lot more beyond that. Delve deeper into the pixels and it triggers thoughts and expressions that go much beyond the frame. And Gaurav Prithviraj Gangwar managed to bring out just that in the frames he has showcased at his ongoing photography exhibition at Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra.
The exhibition, aptly titled My Perspective, was all about showcasing a different perspective of a male body and how it can be a form of art as well.
Appreciating his creativity, PC Little, an eminent photographer and artist, who inaugurated the event, said: "His work is really what I had expected from him." Among other art connoisseurs who were quite happy with his work were Anil Risal Singh, Ravi Kapoor and Mohd Shakil. Apart from capturing the ‘beauty’ of the male body, Gaurav also presented several shots featuring a myriad of human emotions and feelings like that of motherhood, mourning, and penury.
We really hope that those who got a chance to experience his work, will approach the beautiful world around them with a different perspective now. Also spotted: Kiran Bisaria, Ram Advani, Umesh Kumar Saxena, Sharad Pandey, Veena Vidyarthi, Ajai Mishra and Bhupesh Chandra Little. NISHANT
