A walkathon organised for women in Noida

The Noida Expressway Walkers (NEW) group organized a women’s walk on Sunday for

women

members of the walking club. The walk was followed by a free health check-up by Felix Hospital in Noida for all women. Over 60 women participated in the walk which started at around 6.30am and ended around 8 am. There were two categories- 5K and 10K in which the women participated despite of rain and thundershower in the morning.

“Even though it was raining in the morning and it was very cold, women came with umbrellas and raincoats to participate in the walk. Since it was a bit dark in the morning and there were about 60 women, 10 male volunteers also joined the walk to accompany the women,” said Pradeep Panda, founder, NEW.
